At the beginning of July together with NSK Steering Systems Europe (Polska) Sp. z o.o. we conducted workshops on the use of virtual technology and augmented reality in industry, specifically in production.The meeting was open for any interested parties. Individuals from various companies and organizations were invited, including Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone and the scientific community in the area of ​​Wałbrzych.We discussed topics such as:

• types of VR and AR devices – capabilities and limitations
• the use of virtual reality in technical training and safety training, in the virtualization of machinery and large objects as well as in prototyping
• applications of augmented reality (smart glass) in production tasks

We also performed a live demo of our solutuions, so participants could test the technologies on their own. We have received valuable feedback from the practitioners of production processes and the scientific environment, which contributed to our context of the use understanding of VR and AR technologies in industry.We would like to thank Mr. Hiroki Nukui from NSK for organizing the event and other NSK employees participating in the event, as well as guests from WSSE Invest Park, PWSZ in Wałbrzych, Wrocław University of Technology – Wałbrzych Branch, University of Economics – Jelenia Góra Branch and Szczawno-Jedlina S.A.
